December News

RAINBOW, SUN, EARTH: December was a fun month of sensory experiences and hands-on learning! We transformed open play into a winter/train play space. The kids all loved exploring geometric solids and filling them up in the sensory bin with rice and beans, making soft, white “snow” out of baking soda & hair conditioner, playing with ‘frozen’ play doh, making snowmen and beading beautiful “snowflakes”

October and November 2014 News

Stars The Stars have enjoyed joining many of the rotations at school including open play and enjoying all of their meals outdoors 🙂 They have experimented with different art mediums this month and they particularly loved the glue sticks! Rainbow The number line has helped our pre-k students visualize all numerals from 1 to 100, and they have been “hopping” down the line by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s.  The students particularly enjoyed creating their 10 glitter stars.
